The name of Andrey Gugnin is widely known in Russia and abroad. The pianist is a laureate of many international competitions, including the J. Bachauer Piano Competition in Salt Lake City (USA, 2014), where he was awarded the Gold Medal and the Public Prize, the S. Stancic Competition in Zagreb (2011) and the L van Beethoven in Vienna (2013). Nominated for the German Piano Award. In July 2016, Andrey Gugnin won the International Piano Competition in Sydney (Australia), where he received not only the first prize, but also several special prizes.

Andrey Gugnin graduated from the Moscow Conservatory and did postgraduate studies in the class of Professor V. V. Gornostaeva. During his studies, he was a scholarship holder of the Konstantin Orbelyan and Naum Guzik International Cultural Exchange Foundation (2003-2010), after graduating from the conservatory he became a member of the Stars of the XNUMXst Century program for promoting young performers of the Moscow Philharmonic.

Has performed with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia named after E.F. Svetlanov, the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pavel Kogan, the State Academic Capella of St. Petersburg, the State Academic Chamber Orchestra of Russia, the Salzburg Camerata, symphony orchestras of the Netherlands, Serbia, Croatia, Israel, USA, Thailand, Morocco, under the baton of famous conductors, including S. The geography of the musician’s concerts covers the cities of Russia, Germany, Austria, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, San Marino, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Israel, USA, Japan, China, Thailand. The pianist plays on prestigious stages, including the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the Louvre Concert Hall (Paris), the Verdi Theater (Trieste), the Golden Hall of the Musikverein (Vienna), Carnegie Hall (New York), the Zagreb Opera House , Hall named after Vatroslav Lisinsky. Participated in the festivals Musical Olympus, Art November, Vivacello, ArsLonga (Russia), Ruhr (Germany), Aberdeen (Scotland), Bermuda and others. The artist’s performances were broadcast on television and radio in Russia, the Netherlands, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland and the USA.

Andrey Gugnin recorded a solo disc for the Steinway & Sons label and the iDuo album together with pianist Vadim Kholodenko (Delos International). A recording of two piano concertos by D. Shostakovich, also performed by the pianist for the Delos International label, is featured in Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-nominated film Bridge of Spies.

The musician plans to perform with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra (Faces of Contemporary Pianoism festival, conductor Valery Gergiev), tour Australia, give concerts in France, Germany, the USA, record a solo disc under the label Hyperion Records.
